INSPIRATION BEHIND OUR PRODUCTS
Do any of you folks remember how things used to be built when things were once upon a time manufactured in the US? Perhaps this picture of a still in use vintage Curtis Mathes TV-Stereo will refresh your memory. THINGS WERE ONCE UPON A TIME BUILT TO LAST! That my friends is the inspiration behind our "ForeverOzone" line of products. Going back to the good old days where things were designed and built to last a lifetime from solid oak cabinets and smart designs, not the disposable impossible to fix crap that we're been force fed to accept today that fills our landfills.
A little bit of background on our company. We've been selling ozone generators for over 10 years now because we believe in the power of ozone and know it works. We started selling the Alpine and Ecoquest models years ago, but gave up on those models for many reasons, mostly cost issues surrounding the MLM business model and how they were marketed. (as air purifiers, not shock treatment machines) For a while, we imported ozone shock treatment ozone generators from China, however, we soon discovered ALL of the units we sampled and sold were basically disposable and at best lasted only about a year before they developed some type of electrical issue that was next to impossible to diagnose and fix. Most were painted with led paint, had very thin wires and poor connectors that would rust and fail quite quickly in some instances. With a failure rate over 50% within 1 year, we gave up and decided to make our own ozone generators with our own design and with no "prone to fail" parts. We're now into our third year of selling our ForeverOzone brand of ozone generators. Our ozone generators durability has been even better than we ever could have imagined with a failure rate well under 1%. Why? Proper cooling. 100% ozone resistant materials. Thick wires housed in electrical boxes. No soldering- all wire caps. No mother boards, switches, timers, or relays that ozone ruins over time just to name a few.
WHY THE LOW PRICES?
You shouldn't have to pay as much for an ozone generator as you do for a used car, these things don't have transmissions or engines for crying out loud! We could charge more but feel that offering a fair, honest price (given our low failure rate and lack of overhead) is the right thing to do. Why the low overhead? Even though we're an Internet Marketing company, we don't spend ONE CENT on online ads with Google, Yahoo, or MSN! Others have to spend THOUSANDS a month to get business coming in, we rely 100% on word of mouth and organic search results, passing the savings on to you. Sure, we could make more money if we advertised, but then we'd have to charge more. Therefore, if you like our products, please bookmark our site and spread the word about our company and products so that we can keep our low prices right where they are.
OZONE GENERATOR REVIEW
If you've been searching for an ozone generator online, no doubt you've discovered some things. First, other ozone generator vendors really don't want to reveal too much information regarding the power source (in kilovolts) of their ozone generator transformer or the specs in general. (type of ozone plates, pictures of the inside of their units, etc) You'll also find ozone generator vendors, with a few exceptions, don't want to reveal the replacement cost for their ozone plates (if even offered). Some even claim to have "permanent" ozone elements. Before you buy an ozone generator, it's best to learn a few simple truths to help you make an informed decision:
1) Ambient air contains 21% oxygen. A high voltage ceramic ozone element such as the one we use fed at least 100 cubic feet a minute and powered by at least a 3KV (3000 volts) power source (ours are 4KV) can produce up to 3600 mg/h of ozone per hour. Fed 2000 CFM of air from say a box fan will not however increase the ozone production! Only feeding the plates pure oxygen can increase ozone production.
2) Attaching 2-4 ceramic ozone plates to one 4KV power transformer will not double the amount of ozone. It will still only produce up to 4000 mg/h if you use a 4KV power source. The plates will turn a dark purple in the dark when powered by 1 transformer. Two plates powered by 1 transformer will glow half as bright as the electricity is being divided, and also the ozone production.
3) In order to produce 14,000 mg/h of ozone, you would need to utilize at least a 14,000KV transformer (cost over $500, not likely) or two 7KV transformers as we use. Most vendors who claim a high ozone output fail to explain how they can achieve that output with one 4KV transformer when it defied the laws of physics and the nature of corona discharge.
4) MICA plates with their stainless steel mesh are only capable of producing around 400 mg/h of ozone per plate when fed ambient air. Viewed by the naked eye in the dark, they will barely turn purple (very little electrical spark going on to split 02 into 03). One vendor, Jenesco, claims their Mica Plates can produce 1000 mg/h with ambient air and much more when fed oxygen, however, all other vendors who use Mica plates claim 400 mgh.
5) There is no such thing as a permanent ozone plates. Ozone plates take a high voltage charge and over time break down. Our plates last around 10,000 hrs, Mica plates about 1/3 that time.
6) All other ozone generators on the market feature "prone to fail" parts that ozone destroy's over time. Thus, you'll find that a low priced ozone generator only come with a 1 year (or less) warranty. If the units do fail during the warranty period, you'll be paying $30-$70 for shipping your unit back and forth. If it fails after the warranty period, we're told some vendors charge $100's to repair your ozone machine. Ozone Generator USA's "ForeverOzone" (tm) brand of ozone generators are the only ozone machines made to last a lifetime! We back the most expensive part, the power generator with a lifetime warranty. The only two other parts that can fail, (besides the fuse) are the 110 CFM fan and the high voltage ozone element (both rated for over 10,000 hours). We sell both of these parts in our shopping cart for $15-$20. The fan is covered by a 1 yr warranty from the manufacturer by the way, in case it does fail prematurely. (less than 10,000 hours).
7) We've heard that other vendors do not honor their warranties, blame the customers for "improper maintenance" when the machine fails, even if it fails within a few months. Buyers beware.
Before you buy an ozone generator folks, make sure you get the specs in writing. Don't listen to the sales pitch, listen to the specs! For instance, the MaxBlaster utilizes a 4KV transformer and draws about 1 amp of electricity, therefore, it will produce around 4000 mg/h of ozone if the wire mesh plates are functioning properly, regardless of the stated output. In other words, don't trust the sales pitch, trust the product specs.
I hope this ozone generator review has answered some of your questions about ozone generators. I hope you ask pointed questions before you buy an ozone generator. The simple fact is ozone generators are pretty basic electronic components and don't justify the $500-$2000 prices some vendors demand. Heck, you can buy a used car for that, and last time I checked an ozone generator doesn't have a transmission or engine! Now you know why most vendors won't show you the inside of their ozone machines! If they did, you'd say the same thing that nice old lady used to say in that famous "Wendy's" commercial; "Where's the Beef!" Now you know the truth. Hopefully it will free you from wasting your money.
Very Informative! This blog is great source of information which is very useful for me. Thank you very much for sharing this!
